We’ve explored all over the world for the perfect winter destination and we’ve found nowhere as reliable as South Africa.

From soaring sand dunes in Wilderness to clocking up over 100km in Porterville. We run a range of trips that will fullfil every pilots goals whilst missing the winter in the UK.

Do you want to be able to safely fly in thermals? Do you want to be able to control your glider if you have to get out of the way quickly? Do you want to be able to get down quickly when the conditions change?

The answer is obviously “yes” which is why doing an SIV course should be on every pilot’s list!

This is one of the most popular trips on our calendar with many people coming back year after year. Our focus is on building up XC skills to help pilots fly further. During the week we’ll lead you through the planning process we use in our route setting, clock up as many XC kilometres as possible and have fun doing it!

Saint André is a great fun place to fly, and is the starting point for many of the classic Alpine XC routes. It can be strong and a little more technical at times though, so we usually only take people there who’ve already done one or more XC trip with us – which means you’ll have both good SIV skills and some Alpine XC experience.

Laragne is on the edge of the Southern Alps, giving it a consistent and reliable climate for paragliding.

From learning to thermal, or to flying your first 50km (or more), we run trips to Laragne for pilots of all levels.

Bassano, is a gentle ridge that hosts friendly launches and large grassy landing fields. A perfect destination for building confidence, thermalling for the first time and gaining airtime.
